We made Sparkly Snowflakes at Mommy and Me this week! First we read a wonderful children's book "Snow Sounds" by David Johnson and sang the Lion Hunt song. Then we talked about how to create our snowflakes for different level abilities. The simplest and quickest version was to paint the pre-glued fancy Popsicle sticks white with a Q-tip and then dip in silver glitter. To step it up a notch we had markers, paper shapes and sequins to add to this version. Check out how wonderfully creative our 5-year olds and under got with this project:) And I'd like to thank our volunteer Miss Betty for all her help and love she gives our little ones in class.
Today we recycled TP rolls to make our very own snowman! Children used white paint, string, felt, paper and more to create their pieces. We also read "Snowmen at Night" by Caralyn Buehner. Great book for the snowy season!
